The Wheel of Life
A one-day workshop introducing participants to the ‘Wheel
of Life’ - a spiritual Archetype that expresses the fundamental law of life and governs the life process and development of form and consciousness.
The Wheel of Life is one of the three fundamental Archetypes or energy patterns that exist in and link all three worlds of spirit, soul and body, or nature. Together with the other two Archetypes (the Tree of Life and the Chakra System), which it embodies within itself, it is a veritable key to life. It links together and integrates time and space, life force and form, heaven and earth. In it lies the secret of the creation of consciousness, the harmonising of all things, and the transmutation of darkness into light.
The workshop provides a practical experience of the Wheel of Life by creating together a mandala or representation of the Wheel of Life in symbolic and geometric form. Although the mandala has a physical form, yet it is essentially a three-dimensional energy structure that also exists in other dimensions. In reality, we build a multi-dimensional, etheric temple of light which in some traditions is known as the ‘Chariot’ by means of which we may ascend to the heavenly heights. It is also the Magic Circle or Medicine Wheel. The process of building the mandala is as important as the mandala itself, each being an integral part of the other.
Various exercises precede the creation of the mandala as a preparation. These are designed to expand our intuitive heart consciousness, develop our awareness of space and more subtle energies, demonstrate how place and geometry affect us, and build up group conciousness and sensitivity.
