What are Mystery Schools and why are they important today?

This evening talk will deal with questions such as ‘What is a Mystery school?’ ‘What is the Mystery?’ ‘Do Mystery schools still exist?’ and ‘What is the purpose of joining a Mystery school?’ Peter will speak about the ancient and classical Mystery schools, the Magian, Hebraic and Christian Mystery schools, including Jesus’ Mystery school, the Medieval and Renaissance Mystery schools, and those of more modern times, including our present era. Peter will also speak about the Mystery school of which he is a member, as well as about the Externsteine landscape temple (Exterland) Mystery school.

There is a reason and need for Mystery schools: they are not academic but go beyond academia, teaching via experiences in which the natural, human and spiritual realms are all involved and consciously integrated, and all for the purpose of achieving full initiation or illumination and doing good. In fact, no one can achieve illumination without being part of a Mystery school. Peter will explain why.
